I've got everything all set up, but then I press record and it says " Please Record Enable the Selected File"

What does that mean??? What do I do now?!

Thanks for any response!!!!

You have enabled/'armed' the track that your recording on?

And, set the input channels accordingly in the mixer window?

What version of Cubase, what sound card etc. More details Please....

I think so... How exactly would you do that? I have the VST. The Creative Soundblaster card.

Thanks

We (Arctic Shivers and I) have Cubase VST 3.7. Sound card is Creative Sound Blaster AudioPCI 128 (WDM). 128mb RAM, 866mhz Pentium III. We used to record stuff on here all the time and either we're missing a step or something is just screwed up...

Tips are welcome,
Brandon

Check your settings in:

- Audio/system, especially under 'audio I/O'
- Options/Multirecord - make sure this is active.
- After enabling multirecord, you should see a new column in the arrange window. (A,M,C,R,Track Name etc) Arm the track.
- Audio/Monitor - make sure at the top of the fader it says '1L or 1R'
- Click on the 'in' button to see if you are getting any signal.

Start/programs/steinberg, ASIO/DirectX multimedia setup. Check your settings in here. Do not run the test.

I haven't used Cubase for some time. But check these out if you have not already.
