With all these "Top 100" lists going around theres alot of dispute about who are the top emcees. It's very subjective, but if we make it "emcees that changed the game" we can probably get a consensus.
I'm talking about trendsetters, those that did it first and made an impact. I'm trying to do this chronologically but it's probably off. Rearrange, add to it, take away from it until it's right.
Jay Z is not on the list, while being one of my favorite emcees lyrically (and ironically has a song entitled 'change the game'), he didn't change the direction of Hip Hop music.
