TRS Send/Recieve to TS

My mixer has a Pre Fader, Pre EQ insert send/recieve TRS 1/4" connector. Can I take a TS patch cord and connect that connector to my recorder (Delta 44) if I just wanted to use the Pre-Amps on my mixer?

Stick it in to the first click, this will send the signal to the delta.
