Upon trying to bounce a tune from a session on my external lacie 500gb firewire 400, the song begins to bounce, then a get the spinning wheel of death(mac) and protools immediately quits. Upon reopening of protools, the whole computer freezes.
Tried a number of different solutions..
Copied session from drive to Desktop and tried bouncing
Bounced to a different location (back to the drive, desktop, another drive)
Change buffer size,etc in PT
Naming it differently (no parenthesis, -, etc)
dither on/off
converting After/during bounce
Converting tweak head, good, better, best
Can't figure this one out!
Does it sound like a PT problem or a hard drive problem?
This happens to several sessions. all being brand new tunes.
stumped.
