The Pie Guy
OK..I have a pair of KRK V4s
One just went out...no warning...
I swapped out the in's from the other monitor to see if it was my signal chain......it wasn't...

I get nothing out of it...no sound deadsville...

I did check the fuses...they seem intact....

what else can I do?

Am I skrewed?

Thanks for any help fellas,
Joe

Yo' Jo', does the power light on the front panel come on when you power up? If not, check the main fuse and see if needs replacing.
Next pump the V's gain ctl clockwise all the way to 6db+ then send a signal thru it. Can you hear anything? If not check your cabling from your board all the way to the V to make sure a blocked signal path is not the cause.
Also check to see if the system did not overheat (touch the back plate) as the V4 has a built-in protection circuit that will shut down if too much heat is/was present.
If all else fails, call KRK's service dept @ 818-534-1575.

Good luck my brutha'!

Hey QQ :D

I went through all steps...

Unfortunately....I am gonna have to call KRK....

Thanks again man!
Joe

One more thing - Did you swap out the power cords on the two monitors? Believe it or not, I've had a power cord fail.

Thanks Tree....but that wasn't it.....

the amp inside is blown....I am bummed...

But,....

It's covered under warranty for 3 years so...no foul :D

big brown is taking it to Cali tomorrow for a two week visit with the doods from KRK.....
