Man I hope someone can help me - this is driving me NUTS!!

I downloaded several directX plugins (demos and shareware) to check them out w/ my Soundforge. After choosing which ones I wanted to buy I removed the remaining programs entirely using control panel >> add/remove programs in Win 98 OS.

Problem is the plugin is not removed from the DirectX list on the editor. Even worse when I open the batch converter - I get those damn "shareware please purchase me" dialog boxes....arrrrrggg!!!! Stranger yet SOME remove and SOME don't.....what the heck is going on here??

Can anyone help a brother about ready to trash his PC????????????? (kidding of course but the thought did cross my mind....)

Thanks,

Try the DX Buster

There is a plug in handler at the The DirectX Files location. Look for one called DX-Man under the Plug-ins icon, then the AnalogX area. That should let you get rid of those nasties. Look around there as well, there are some pretty cool plugs there.

Good luck.

Welcome aboard ! I've been here since Nov. and love it. Learned a ton. Don't forget to check out some of the posted articles (on the homepage) by Sonusman...Ed Rei knows his shit....PERIOD.

He helped me out on a few things. He's taking a "break" from the board right now but I'm sure he'll be back....

Cruise the board and you're on your way to great demos...

lata.
