trouble Buss recording with Fostex vf160

Hi,I cant seem to Buss record,Direct recording working fine,Buss used to work for me but now when I try,everything seems to be respondingv i.e. the correct lights respond after each step to set up Buss recording but when I start to record,nothing happens...anybody out there can help please?
