The hookup procedure depends on which pt harware you have. If you have an mbox v.1, you're going to need an external midi interface because there is none --- and no provision for midi tracks --- in the software.
The mbox v.2 - the newer version - does have midi ports and you can tell the difference by the 5-pin midi in and midi out sockets.
It will take two midi cables, an setting change inside the Triton and four pluging ins to hook up the Triton to your mbox.
Let's start with the setting in the Triton. Find the global settings page inside the Triton and set the 'Local On/Off' to 'Off'. This will break the connection between the keyboard and the sounds inside, and leave you with a virtual master keyboard and a Triton sound module.
Now take one of the midi cables and plug it from the midi out of the Triton to the midi in of the mbox. Then plug the midi out of the mbox to the midi in of the Triton.
