Keyz316 thank for you advise. It was good!

OK, So I will ask them to drop the price, if not I threaten them to play a cheap Casio all my life, thus depriving them of a sale.
Yep something along those lines will work. I was fortunate to have no struggle when I brought them the price quote (though they were a little sad about having to sell it with almost no profit hehe). If you need to you could remind them that other GC's have given the same deals (a friend on the harmonycentral forum, Rollerator, got his for even less than me), and if they want your sale, then they have to agree.

As for polyphony insn't 64 plenty? I can't imagine using anything more than 32.....
Where things get fishy is when you have long sustains on your notes... as long as a note sustains it ties up that note of poly. There's been more than a few complaints on Motifator about running out (though hasn't happened to me yet). It was worse with the initial releases of the OS, but has been repaired to some degree now so it drops notes less easily.

As for the insertion, I plan to use SONAR to control the MOTIF and don't plan to use the MOTIF standalone....so for example lets say i want to add reverb on the drums, strings and piano....it's not possible on MOTIF, but I can still do it from SONAR? Is that what you meant?
Well, in terms of playing back all those instruments all at once via midi in Sonar - no, you wouldn't be able to do that (and have the insertion fx work on all of them).... you could however use insertion fx on every track you want as long as you either play them back one at a time, or record them to audio. For a better explaination than I can give on that, check "Jimstangs" post in this thread. He tells me he also made a better explaination as well, but I've not yet located it - I'll let you know if I do.

As for the voices, I don't do any hiphop or dance....so I am hoping everything else will be good. And I love the keys on the MOTIF8.
Yep IMHO (as a piano player for 16 years - i.e. 3/4 of my life) the Mo8/S90 keys are among the best on the planet.

Peace.
