* THIS IS A TRIBUTE TO OUR MEMBER RATICUS *
Hi all... Tonight, I was just wondering through the site and saw that Raticus posted a new beat so I went to check it out... It's a good beat, chop shop style as always... Then I went into the album section and I just started listening to the two albums he had on MP3.com: GRIMES BROOKLYN and CITY TRACKS... I have been listening to Raticus since the beginning so I knew I would find nothing new... I just told myself I would listen to what he did since his start in this game...
So I start listening to each track, one after the other and after a moment, I just find myself into another world: THE CHOP SHOP WORLD. The chop shop world is weird... The chop shop world is different from our world... and the chop shop world is worth listening to. Raticus takes us on a journey of beautiful cacophonic sample mixing. The trip is mind blowing and the best of it all: It's free!
This guy has never changed his style since the beginning... He makes beat how he likes'em without caring if they have any commercial value. Everything is not always in key, but it's what makes him different from the others: He's able to mix off key sounds together in a way that they sound good!
Now, to everyone here saying they don't like commercial stuff, this is for you:
Chop Shop Productions
Clear your mind, put on your headphones, you're about to be flabbergasted!
Word to my bro Raticus,
Beathoven
(P.S.: I wasn't told to say this, I wasn't paid to say this, I just thought this artist deserved more attention than he has now...)
