I have a tascam mf p01 and I've made some songs I want to put on my computer and share with the worrrrld. What do I need to hook in my mf p01 to my computer. There is a left and right line out I just dont know what cord I need to have and where that would go into the computer.

Also i havnt looked this up yet but if someone could help me that would be great: what program would I use to record my music onto and how would I convert it to mp3?

Thanks!

heya. MFP01 eh? I was using one of those a couple of years ago and found it very refreshing and inspiring to take such a bare bones approach. Focus more on song writing and less on knob twiddling. But enough of fond reminiscing:

When I recorded my tracks from it to the computer I used a cable with RCAs coming out out the Main Out (or Line Out, whatever they labelled it) and right into the 1/8" phono plug on the computer where it has a little picture of a microphone. Not very complicated but I suppose it depends on what program you are using to record into the computer. I used audacity, but I guess you can probably just go to Mindow Media Player or whatever basic program came with your operating system.
