Hi everyone!
I usually record my DJ sets on minidisc when I´m spinning away from home and I would like to transfer this to my computer. My minidisc it´s a Sony 505 with USB cable, but AFAIK you can only transfer the audio from the MD by the line out jack, so you have to plug it to a line in jack on a sound card.
My question is if my sound card is ok for the job, considering that it´s not a professional recording. I couldn´t discover exactly what´s the sound card because the PC is an Dell Optplex GX 150 and on the windows device manager it appears as SoundMAX integrated digital audio. Does anybody can answer this question?
And by the way, can I use the original sound card that comes with de iMac 500Mhz Indigo to do the job? It´s much better than the Creative Live! card for PC?
Any other ideias and tips on doing this recording please drop me a message!
