Here is my situation. I workin in one studio and it runs off of Mac dual G5, OSX but have limited time there since I am just doing grunt work. What I want to do is to store all of my work onto something and take it home with me to mix on my PC p4 WinXP. I've been using cds but I want something more perminant than that.

Any suggestions are welcome.

What do you mean more permanent? The only other option would be DVD or a Firewire drive. The only challenge with using a FW drive is you have to make sure it's formatted in a way that both Mac and PC will like.

What program are you using at the studio?

AND

What program are you using at home?

Unless both studios are using the same program, you are going to run into problems....

Even if you are using ProTools at both locations, you are going to have diffulculties because you are using different versions and you are cross-platforming. :(

Let me clarify my last statement.....

IF, you are both using Protools.....

All of the changes you make to the project in the studio will not transfer to your home system. The studio is using a full ProTools setup. All of the effects, envelopes, etc.... will not trans fer to your home.
