Lately it seems like Trance is becoming more and more mainstream. The result seems to be only more and more artists putting out stuff that sounds really cheesy. I'm not a fan of house and have always considered it the genre where all the stupid songs wided up. Mind you I think that some of the philosophies found within the house scene are integral parts of the movement but I just find the tunes bland and alot like NSYNC w/ a dance beat and some trippy effects. My question is do y'all think that the more popular electronic/dance music gets the more the quality will suffer?(Just look what has happened to Rock, mo' money mo problems)

Yes and no.

All types of music have their mainstream side as well as their underground side.

House

Blues

Etc...

Good point, just wish it was possible for the good stuff to be the only mainstream stuff. Not likely though, long live da underground, we just like roaches baby!
