Hey all, new here. Thought i'd start by posting my solo project to get some opinions. No vocals yet (doing so in a few weeks), everything recorded at home, DKFH, Reaper, etc. Using a Baritone Les Paul Epi for all guitar tracks.

and yes i'm aware that the middle of "Trials" is too loudly recorded. That was intentional, i really liked the outcome so i boosted the gain...

I'm not big into metal but I liked it (especially bitter), but as you can see I'm a noob here so my opinion's not worth much.
 
I re-read your post and you said "good, bad..." so I thought I'd mention to change up the drums a little.

I really like the sound you're getting out of your guitar tracks but the drums feel just "there", not bad but not special. Mind you, like I said before I don't really listen to metal.
