gimmi your mic!
hi guys --

I have a Sennheiser MD 441 which I'd like to trade for a decent LDC condenser. The MD 441 looks & works like new. No dents/scratches, comes in original box plus frequency test chart plus 3 mic cables. Barely used. I can send pix of you are interested. Need a LDC for female vocals instead.

If you are interested in a trade, please email or PM me, ok?

Damn, you guys should be falling all over yourselves for this one...

Have you ever tried the 441 on female vocals? maybe applied a tad bit of EQ to get the desired sound, or used the switches on it? It can be quite a surprising little (big) mic, and often kicks the ass of condensors in its price range ($800). A good high gain preamp is in order though. Kick ass mic, hard to imagine selling it.

Stevie Nicks old standby mic was the 441, lotsa videos with her using that one. Shes a female. :)

you are right, tubedude -- the 441 is awesome. I'm in need for a LDC right now, though, for a variety of reasons.

BTW: the 441 comes with the original (clear) plexiglass clip.

Hi guys, I have a Ferrari which I'd like to trade for a decent transportation car?
Geez, quit making me drool!

Hope you and Track can work things out.

However...

If things change though, I have a Studio Projects B1 :),
and some spare $$$.

Please PM me in that event.

Thanks
Chris

Hmmm, I've got a Shure KSM32 I might consider trading...

Okay, today's your lucky day. I have on hand, one pristine, damn near mint, comes with case, shockmount and pop-filter, I mean you aren't going to believe this. I'll even trade straight across, no need for any money. Okay, ready, I am willing to trade you, for your Sennheiser 441, one amazing Behringer B1 Large Diaphragm Condensor!!!!

Aren't I the nicest guy?!!! :D

hey guys --

thanks a lot for your various emails, posts + PMs. I was tempted by various offers (especially the Behringer B1 -- wow! ;) ... but have traded the MD441 this weekend.

I'll close this thread now.

ups -- just noticed that you can't close threads on this BBS, so I guess I have to leave ot open :D

Come on Giga fess up.
Which LD condenser did you trade your 441 for?

Chris

yup -- TrackRat & I worked out a deal. Can't wait to check out the 4047, even though I'll miss my ugly monster. The sound (& design!) of the 441 are really awesome, I have to say :D

Ah man, you passed up the best. I hope you can live with yourself! If you find yourself unhappy with 4047, let me know, and I'll graciously give you a second chance on the mighty Behringer B1.

:D :D :D

:( Just a KM184? I don't know man. This Behringer is special. This is a custom modded B1. The stand it was on got knocked over. The shock knocked most of the suck out of the mic. Now the thing sounds EXACTLY like a vintage U47. I mean, I've never heard a U47, but I talked to a guy who knows a guy who has, and he said that this B1 is the same.

I mean, B1, even the name is so cool that Studio Projects stole it.

Ah, shoot. I'm just going to shut up before I turn into Skyy (at least, I'M not serious). Sometimes I just get carried away. :D

Hey Track- Let me know what you think when you get it on a few sources... one helluva mic you have coming there, dont let its low gain fool ya... run it through the right preamp and you have gold.
Very versatile, I think you got a good deal.

I think we both got a good deal. Stefan, you should have the mic no later than Friday. It's coming priority mail, insured and tracked. And you can believe I'll be giving it a workout next week.:D

hi Track Rat --

I received your AT4047 today and just checked it out on vocals. This is a great sounding mic! I have to be careful with the proximity effect, though. The only thing I don't like about it is that it's a pain to get it out of the shock mount. I guess I need a mic case which is large enough for the mic attached to the shock mount. Apart form that: perfect!

Hope you are as happy with your Sennheiser, which should be arriving within the next 1-2 days!
