I plan to do most of my tracking in CWPA9 in 24bit 44.1kHz...

I've just order a Yamaha DG stomp that has a 48kHz digital out...

so natural, to use the digital out, I have to track my guitar in 48kHz. and want to maintain the rest of the tracks as 44.1kHz...

is this possible? if so, can I get them all to mix down to 16bit44.1kHz at the end of the day?

what's the best way to do all this??

thanks!:)

i may be mistaken but i do not believe that this is possible. when you set the sample rate to 48khz in Sonar, you will play back your audio at 48,000 samples per second. If you have a wave file that was recorded at 44,100 samples per second, you will play it back at 48,000 samples per second... about 8% faster.

Why not increase the whole lot to 24/48? Or have you got legacy clips that you need in the recording at 44.1?

thanks for the help guys....

hmmmm, if this's the cases, wouldn't it be difficult for you to work on a project with gears that have different sample rate digital output?

I have tried this, and when I get to the point of burning it to cd, the birner refuses to acknowledge more than 1 sampling rate...if you get it to accept it, please emaiol me and tell me how you did it.
Thanks
