Hi there. I'm posting in this section because I'm not actually sure if the problem that I have is due to an error of mine or an out of date issue.
The fact is that I'm trying to record, using Win 7 [Athlon 2X, 4GB RAM], Nuendo 3, and an Emu Tracker Pre, some tracks for a demo thing. At first all was working OK, but right after I started working with a realistic number of tracks -say 8, 9- and Guitar Rig I started to get this crackles and distortion, eventually resulting in the sound totally fading out.
This problem has progressed to a point in which I can't work anymore. I have looked for solutions, but only found information in some forums dating from 2008. Not even switching drivers seemed to work, and EMU isn't releasing drivers for Win7 apparently.
I do not know what to do, I need to get a job done and I'm stuck here with no possibility of recording even a 10 sec sample. I tried increasing buffer size and I get the crackes anyway -they just take a little bit longer to appear. Could it be a driver issue that recording with this specs takes up too much buffer size? Do I need to change Os?
Help is greatly appreciated,
thank you.
