Opinions on Mixing and Mastering

Love Scene

Well i basically had to join a group write and record 3 songs in a few weeks then perform them. The gig was last week and now its time to record the tracks.

I spent a few hours mixing and mastering this track, it sounds ok apart from the vocals. I went from recording drums and guitar in one studio with a C24 then to another studio with a C24 for vocals, when we changed studio it seemed to speed the track up and now that i have took the track home to mix it seems to have slowed down. No idea what is going on.

I think the levels sound ok i mixed in pro tools, mastered it on the mster fader then used a multiband compressor in wavelab to get a extra few dB

Anyone got any tips for mixing or mastering to make this track sound better?

Track was recorded on a C24 running protools 6.4 then moved to an mbox 2 with protools 6.9 to mix and master as the system it was recorded on did'ent have a good EQ.

Reciording gear was pretty basica standard mic's sm57,58 etc couple of Rhode's for the overheads.

Any help would be great

Cheers

I edited my post to give more information. Any tips would be great.

Track has been updated, phase now oujt of the vocals(which was making it sound like a man) drums mixed close to the same freq as the programmed drums so that it gives a more boomy, warmer sound instead of 2 different drums one sounding like a sack of potatoes.
