Anyone, Please Help. I just hooked my turn tables and mixer up to my computer so I could record my mixes. When I burn a CD of a mix and put it in my home CD player, it shows one long track not each indivual track. I know I need some kind of editing software, but I'm not sure which one will do what I need. I downloaded demos of:

Cubase
Cubasis
Acid
Asia
Record It

to see if any of these packages would do it, But Can't figure it out. Any suggestions would be really appricated.

Thanks for everyons help...

Track markers.

I have not used any of that software, but I am sure one of them will allow you to place "track markers" on the .wav file.

Good Day!

What burning software came with your CD-writer?

Thanks for the reply. I'm currently using Adptec 4.0 to burn CDs. There is also a program called "Spin Doctor" which I sometimes use to record my mixes.

First, assemble all source CDs with the songs you want on the new CD

Make a playlist with times and add the total time up as you go
1 minute of audio equals about 9MB of hard drive space

Keep the total playing time between 65- 70 minutes - Lead-In & Lead-Out
areas of the CDR require about 10% of CD capacity for these areas

Start Gear & Select "Track List" (Cue Sheet) from “CD Type & Settings” area

2. Click the "Track List Editor" icon on the button bar - insert first source music CD.
(rightmost button)

Click "view the CDR" button - list of tracks appears

- highlight the tracks you want which correspond to the songs you've chosen
- you can select multiple tracks by pressing the control key as you select tracks
- Drag & drop selected tracks into the lower window

Remove FIRST CD and place NEXT CD in recorder. Wait for CD to initialize

5. Repeat step 3. Repeat steps 2 & 3 for as many CDs as you have in your playlist
File/Save & Close when finshed.

6. Click device "Settings" button to check recorder “tabs”

Common - Use "disc-at-once" if possible; otherwise, use "track-at-once".
- “multisession” box, “use physical image”
and “verify after write” boxes are UNCHECKED

Advanced - Check the "fixate disc" box. DO NOT check the
"estimate performance before write" box.

SCSI - Set the buffer size to 60000 and # of to 99.
- Use default recording interface

Gear may state it needs to reinitialize. That's ok - just answer yes.

7. Insert blank CDR & write the CD
When finished, remove the cuesheet and disctrax files from the Gear working directory (C:\GEARImages by default) using Explorer.

This came from the website for that software, maybe it will help.....?

Thanks for the advise and the research you did for me. I'll give it a shot over the next day or two. I really appricate it :-)
