Touch Sreen with Recording

I was told upon purchasing Sonar X3 that since I had Windows 8 I can use the touch screen application with it. But as of now when I look into the properties of the computer it reads "No Pen or Touch is available for this Display".
My question is is the touchscreen really not available on my computer or is there something I can download? A driver I need?

Well....IS the screen a touchscreen...?
You can't make a regular LCD display a touchscreen just by loading an application or driver....it has to be manufactured as a touchscreen capable screen.

Personally....I don't much care for them.
You end up with just a lot of fingerprints all over the screen......and even with a pen, it's very tedious holding your hand up against the screen all the time
That said....I do use a small WACOM graphics tablet, down alongside my trackball when doing certain editing chores, otherwise I just use the trackball and keyboard shortcuts for the most part.
