Fun song. The nice vox seems real separate from the rest of the mix. If I turn up the volume it clips to oblivion!! maybe the streaming or something. lets see what others say.

Peace
Bill

I didn't have any clipping problem. Listening through headphones at work. I tell ya.... I like this song. When the vocal started I thought it was Marty Robbins at first. Really good vocal. Absolutely perfect for the style.

Guitar was good. All the right licks. Maybe some small timing issues now and then.... but still played well.

When I was a little boy, this is the only type of music my parents listened to. This was very very well done and well written in my opinion.

Pretty blurry/fuzzy compared to others I've heard from you. Just needs some work in the low mids, I think...and wfaroni's right - it sounds like you tried to compensate for the lack of mids in the vocal track by just cranking it up until it's sitting so on top of the mix that it doesn't have any headroom.

Anyway man, I don't even know if you care about mix issues, lol...I just dig that Rockabilly Cash thing you've got going on.

Take care,
Chris

And I just re-discovered "If I Was Johnny Cash,"... what a classic tune.

You totally rule, lol.

thanks guys

we were having thunderstorms one right after the other and trying to do anything right had already went out the window LOL!! Between storms somebody yelled "JUST HIT THE BUTTON AND LET IT GO" LOL!! playing chase in part of it LOL!!!!

Nice job at capturing a really classic sound. Very nice song and the only issue I hear is a light variation in the vocal presence. The singer (you?) seem to be moving away from the mic sometimes.

aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh Billy Byrd. Mighty fine there James. Just a touch of clipping. Great tune and sound as usual. You folks gotta do this one again when there's no storming going on.

Have you ever notice what happens when you're real close to the mic, and take a deep breath. h ehe he he he hehehehhhahahhah

LMAO!!!

i think everything was clipping on this one LOL!
i told Kevin if someone would have farted at the end we'd have it just right LMAO!!!
dtb" i think i ripped my hose :(

Clipping aside, its a cool sound you have here. Its like going back to 1955! Dig that Chet Atkins style guitar. You have nailed this style. Its eerie how much this sounds like an old record!

You've got the perfect voice and style for this! Reminded me of Jonny Cash and maybe a bit of Carl Perkins style pickin' :D

I'm totally digging this! The recording sounds good on this end, but the mids seem a little over-powering on my end. Probably just me :)

Very cool stuff!

What crawdad said.

That's really cool, it does sound like an old recording, and that's a great thing. You have a the vocal style nailed.

Great job.

It's got a great feel to it. A few mix issues that have already been mentioned. Nice pickin'.
