alright, where 2 start. Basically wut I need 2 do, is take this song I have that was recorded in bad quality, not like bad mix or anything like that, just like bad quality, like vocal distortion, and stuff like that. And I wanna put it on my computer, I have it as an MP3, .WAV and any other format I need it 2 be in, that's not a problem. But I wanna do it all on my comp, is there a software program I can buy that will let me edit the song and make it so it's studio/cd quality? Does that make sense, if it doesn't let me know, and I'll try 2 be a little better with my description. I know a guy that did it 2 a song similar to mine, but he took it in 2 an actual studio and sat down and did it, so I know it's possible. Although numerous people on other message boards have told me Im asking 2 do somethin near impossible, U guys think U can help me with this? I'll pay somebody if they do it for me :) But anyways, just help please

Thanks

"vocal distortion, and stuff like that"

Look, here's a basic rule of recording:

Shit in = shit out.

If the recording's shit, you can't make it better. Period.

"is there a software program I can buy that will let me edit the song and make it so it's studio/cd quality?"

No.Trust me.

" know a guy that did it 2 a song similar to mine, but he took it in 2 an actual studio and sat down and did it, so I know it's possible."

Well, if that happened, then it's because:

1) your friend's song was recorded at a decent quality level

2) neither you nor your friend realize that shit in = shit out

:D Which is it?

Bottom line: if you recorded it and it's distorted, then you have to record it again without distortion. Trust me. :)

Dobro said it (far less eloquently than I'm used to hearing from him ;) )... but he's absolutely right!

naw, if U wanna get specific about it, it's THE SAME Song as a matter of fact that he took it in 2 tha studio and sat down and did it. So theres nuthin wrong, I don't mean like vocal distortion like that, just like the vocals hide behind the beats sometimes, and teh beat sound really bland. Like if U play it in my car on my system, when the bass hits in the song, it doesn't even really hit on speakers, just bad quality, like tape quality.
