Damn rap just isn't selling as much as it used to, or maybe it just seems that way. Prob. because there's too many f*ckin rappers...lol and the shelf life of albums these days are a couple months.

yeah...to many drops....andi do believe you have to drop an album every damn 9 months now to stay hot in peoples ear...no like back in the day..when you could take 2 years to work on your album...Master P camp flip that..when they were releasing Artist (New and Old) every 6 months..until..they had to start pushing dates back..

and alot of it is the projects keep gettin pushed back..then released at the wrong damn time...

more like 6 months. Nas fell from number 1 huh... why the 71% drop?

I have read alot of mix reviews on the album..and you add on that the time (date) the album released...cause the normal rat for 2nd week sales was around 55%...i really dont know..just my quess and take on it

yeah that's what i figured... but 71% is a BIG drop.

yeah its a real big drop...i have pick up or listen to the album so i dont know why to big drop..only albums i hav new right now is Trick Daddy and the Clipse album(that I ready to sling in the trash)

I hate to admit it, but this is why I d/l the full album and decide if I like it or if it's crap before I spend hard earned dinero.

Knothead check ya PM.

I kind of liked the new Nas album. It's a little bit more commercialized, but it's a release that's still better than most of the crap I hear on the radio, and I think certainly better than artists like Young Jeezy.

BK, you didn't like the Clipse album? I thought the junk was ill, man.

Im a Beats man..so if the Beats are not sounding good the album doesnt sound good..Dont get me wrong the Clipse flow is alway nice...but to me it just sound like the Neptunes did a terrible job on the tracks..and some of the lyrics just dont vibe with the tracks..IMO..

I know I will have to listen to it about 5 times to enjoy it..but for right not Trick Daddy is in the Ride...and the Clipse is in the Console.. :D

I feel you. I'm a lyricist, not a producer... So I feel the content is more important than the production. But I can see where you're coming from. The beats on that are quite lazy, and simple.

I'm a productions guy now.... If the production doesn't sound good, then it sucks... BUT I'm also an all around type looker. The beats need to be banging, and the lyrics definitely need to be up to par. I hate rappers who don't put any thought into their lyrics..
