i've been doing some experimenting with acoustic micing and came up with a really nice sound.
i played an ibanez aw 100 with a cheap old dean markley pop in the hole pickup through my fender bassman 60 amp. i sat back about 6 feet from the amp with it facing towards me and miced it from about a foot away dead center. then i miced the guitar at about the 12 th fret and panned hard left on the amp and hard right on the guitar.
the sound was really full and clean.
has any one done anything else like this.
