I have a large collection of guitar pre-amps. Im going into a 002 rack. I am trying to find a way to hook them all in. I was thinking about a recording mixer or a line mixer.
I also want to run all the effects loops into a patchbay so I can mix and match my fx processors.
My question is this. Does anyone know of a good mixer for this purpose.

Any comments on this or other related topics is greatly appreciated. Remember I am a little green when it comes to the digital thing.
p.s. anybody know about some guitar plug ins. I liked guitar rig 2. :D

By the way i know that I can use a mixer to run everything but Im trying not to. it kind of defeats the purpose of working digitally. at least for me.

Plug in directly to your interface, I think that should work...

OK but I have too many pres. they are
ADA mp1
ADA MP1 (voodoo mod)
Marshall JMP-1
DIGITECH 2120 artist
Mesa Boogie tri axis
rocktron voodoo valve
rocktron prophesey
ADA MP2

I want to have them all hooked up but i am trying to avoid mixing them or adding any EQ before going into the 002 rack. This way all I have to do is switch my cable. The patchbay with all the FX processors will handle all of the fx loops. This way they are all ready to go with any combination I want.

Why don't you just add another patchbay for all the pre's then?

Send them all to me. PM me for the address. I'll pay for shipping, and send you, in return... nothing. ;)

There are some decent budget boards out there for mixing. You already have the preamps, so all you really need is a decent board to pull them all together, right? I used a Trident for awhile with decent results.
