Too Drunk To Fuck - listen and critique please

:D :D :D I have not heard that in years!!!!...I liked it but, the vocals seemed a bit buried....might bring em up some.

Okay thanks for the listen. I struggled with the vocal EQ and level on this one. Maybe I went too conservative.

I had never heard this song before.

The first thought that hit me when the song starts, is that the opening guitar rings of Golden Earring's "Bullet Hits The Bone" rhythm guitar....on speed :D .... and keeps that same driving rhythm going all the way through. That is a plus to my ears.

Nice job on the vocals Greg....that is you? They seem to be okay in volume to me. It may be that because of the right panning that the vocals seem a tad buried. Bring em more center and if they are already centered, perhaps a tweak to the left...I don't know...maybe my hearing is off today.

I don't know if it is just me or not...but it seems a bit heavy right-panned.

That awesome rhythm guitar would sound great split left to right.

The drumming is great. Now you'll tell me it's EZ drummer or something!!! :confused:

A fuking potato and put it in your purse~!!! Bawaahahahahaaa and the puking at the end....oh wow....I almost pee'd myself !!!! :eek: :D

It's all fine if you go limp:D Us guys have to try and push the rope.... and it gets down right uncooperative at times :o I've always been able to slap the little basterd around and verbaly assault him on his poor posture until I get my point across!
Luckily I don't have an issue with that anymore ;)


Sounds cool Greg! I know how you are about making mixes as close as you can to the original and I don't know how that was. I will say just as a general observation, on occasion the vocals sound a bit muffled, like a pretty low frequencie is masking them a bit. That's the only thing I caught. The rest sounds pretty punkish to me:)

Definetly better sounding. Very cool. Not my style but hey. Only punk album I own is The Damnd, Machinegun Etiquette. The title track is pretty cool.

Does sound like potato a bit, but I'm cool with that! Reminds me of a story I heard on Mark & Brian.

Good job on the singing Greg and the drums are excellent.

So, you don't think it is panned to the right a bit much?
 
you fucker! everything sounds killer. the guitar tone cuts through, the bass is right there, drums are bangin, you da man!

nice riff --- definitely got a winner here.
I think, rather than the flush, it should have been the sound of the body hitting the floor from passing out. Now that would be Too Drunk To Flush :p
