how do you guys feel about tokai guitars?

i always wanted to get lespauls but haha it'll take a while to gather up some pennys to get that baby...

out of all the copies i saw tokai seems and looks the best replica of gibson lp's....

The Korean made Tokai Les Pauls have bodies made of alder instead of mahogany so you won't get an authentic LP sound out of them. The ones made in Japan are the ones to look for but they're much more expensive than the ones made in Korea.

BTW Do they sell Fenix Les Pauls in Australia? They were made in Korea by the Young Chang piano factory to the original LP specs using quality woods and hardware from Gotoh. I don't know if they make them anymore, atleast they haven't been imported to Finland since the late 90's. My current Fenix LP is the third one I've had. I had to sell the the ones before that because I was made offers I couldn't resist. Overall the Fenix guitars are well made from good materials and over the years I've had about a dozen different models ranging from an acoustic dreadnought to 17" jazz box and from an all maple ach topped telecaster to couple of LP customs.

Young Chang makes everything. I'm surprised they haven't bought out Yamaha, Kaman and General Motors. The place is the E.J. Gallo of the music world.

hahaha

i know whacha mean by young chang.. lol

i was looking at the japanese ones and never knew about the korean ones.

i don't think i've ever seen fenix guitars here... i'll try to check it out

so you would prefer fenix over tokai's?
