The drums are buried and a bit muddy.
I'd try to clean up and tighten up the bottom end a bit.
I really like the guitars. Maybe a bit more sheen on the vocals wouldnt hurt.
overall i liked it mate.

Thanks man! I don't know what to do about the drums. It's one track from a drum machine. I suppose I could use a better snare and kick sample and also compress it a bit. I wish I had my own drum set. :(

The effect on the main vocal from 1:00 to 1:30 and again at 3:15 is really muddy and the lyrics are completely incomprehensible. Also the programming on the drums sounds a little off starting around that point and the timing seems kinda rubbery, though I've never heard the original and don't know if it's like that... some room for improvement but not bad...

Download Blockfish (Fish Fillets Suite) and throw it on the drums with the fat Drum Loop preset. It is quite good.
The mubbly vocal section is a little too so.
I don't know the original (RHCP phobia) but this show heaps of potential.

I'll get right on that! Thanks for listening!

I suppose the reason for the mubbly vocals is that it's suppose to be an octave higher. My range doesnt go that high so I thought I should just drown them out with the guitar solo. Maybe I should remove them completely? I guess I could try sing it as it should be.
