The not fountain head
I have finally broken into my local recording scene....

I am now the mix engineer/technical advisor/house producer of a small project studio (no not my personal studio).... Which means, I'll be getting paid (no, not a lot, unless we blow up :p ).... More importantly, I'm part of a serioius group of individuals, that honestly sounds a lot like what BeatsBuy is doing...

Woohoo!

Thanks to everyone who helps me around here...

I probably won't be around near as much (which some of you will be happy about :D *bling*)...

For sure, I probably be asking a lot more questions....

So Thanks Again

Wurd... :p

Thanks for the support!

P.S. To all: Once I get things up to speed, over there, expect to be getting an invitation to record (for a nominal fee, of course  )...

All the best man. Thanks for the support and good luck to you for the future.

No problem... I'd be curious about the same thing... I'm not one to front... So, 'ere goes..

My work will be on a project basis, to start... A percentage has yet to be declared (I'll be asking for 30%)...

And honestly, if a good percentage isn't met, I will just do it for the exposure/experience/FUN (and the monetary benifits WILL follow, even if it is just from having the perfect outlet to sell my beats [directly to the artist, in person]).. Not to mention, A BEGINNING TO MY PROFESSIONAL RESUME.....

On the real, tough... I'm excited, either way....

The problem is that they have clients lined up and lack of technical direction....

Them:
Relatively expensive equipment (cough, cough Triton Studio and more) + relatively deep pockets + little technical experience + paying clients + 24/7 "open" place to record = mediocre recordings / no net income

Me:
Cheap equipment + shallow pockets + unquenchable thirst for experience/knowledge + moderate technical experience + no "open" place to record + no paying clients = mediocre recordings / no net income

After the "merger":

Expensive equipment + relatively deep pockets + paying clients + "public" place to record + unquenchable thirst for experience/knowledge + moderate technical experience = BETTER recordings / LARGE potential for net income

That's where it stands... Hope I didn't over-glitterize the whole thing, before.... My sincere apologies, if I did...

:)

Thanks for the props!.. Though, I can't say I'm more of prospect than any of my peers here.... Just a stroke of luck..

It's a deal on the updates.. Gotta get things moving, QUICK!

P.S.

I'd like to send a big shoutout out to MySpace for seeming like a really childish place to be a part of, yet landing me this opportunity... :p

Props on the accomplishment.

Also, amen to the myspace comment. I've made a lot of serious connections through it and it's given me a lot of opportunities.
