to kill a clicking pick

For future reference, I've noticed that thin picks tend to be the worst about making excessive noise.

Usually, it's either that or, it's a guitar that has no resonance and is just very quiet.

I have an acoustic rhythm guitar track with some distracting clicking sounds in it. Sounds like the guitar pick clicking against the pick guard. Any tips for minimizing this?

After listening to your guitar track I would suggest a vst plugin called Spectro by schwa. Last time I down loaded it it was free so I am assuming it still is. It's a spectral analyzing/editing tool. it will show your wav file as a spectrum display and the clicks will show up as being a different color within the display. Just like in photoshop, you can draw a little box around the click and either mute it or delete it with out removing the rest of the image (wav) that the click is a part of. Sort of like picking an apple off of a tree and leaving the rest of the tree intact. If you can't find Spectro, send me your email address and I will send you a copy of it. Good luck!
