To Hell With Dell????

I got a decent deal on a dell system, but now after getting a blue screen error one of the PCI slots doesn't work.No sound unless I move the card over a slot. I have a few days left to return it for refund, but the tech support offered to replace the MOBO. I am afraid it may be connectors or whatever else contributing to the PCI going bad and that may not fix it. I am considering getting a custom built since I'm having problems so early with this dell. What do you think is the better choice here?

If you can build your own, that's cool.

I build almost all my systems, but sometimes Dell has good deals. My current music computer is a Dell Dimension 4550 from 2 years ago that hasn't let me down.

I'd just have them replace the board.

It's up to you. I returned my Dell system a couple years ago and I never looked back. The only downer is that you have to pay to ship that thing back which could be anywhere from $50-$100.
