to buy or not to buy

well guys, like the name suggests......
im stuck with the purchase of an audiophile 2496
currently ive been using an audigy d.e card dat works fne but there's always the prospect of upgradin.
rite now ive already got a buyer for my audigy card
but juz how will the audiophile add to the usefulness of my recording

should i get the audiophile and sell my behringer 1202 mixer as well and get better preamps? coz i wont be recording more den wat the 2496 has to offer anyway.

would be recording simultaneausly
-guitars
-bass
-vocals

any input would be great

i would eventually get the Audiophile and a nice preamp, but it doesnt have to be all at once......
