That's the question..
I've ordered Aardvark DirectPro 24/96 and think of keeping the LivePlatinum card or not..

What do you suggest me?

Have a plenty of soundfonts already...Can I work with the both cards? Will they be same quality as those I'll run thru Aardvark?

Do yourself a favor and keep the SBLive! Platinum for MIDI, RCA connections, and Soundfont capability. Too many people come on here ready to throw a kickass sampler out of the window. Your Aardvark will be the dedicated board for 24-bit audio processing and SBLive! can be used for MIDI/Soundfonts. Hope this helps.

I use a Gigasampler..

Tell me, can they work together? (2 cards)

Do they need to be connected somehow?

Not sure about Giga, but I do remember talking to someone from tech support at Aardvark, and they told me that because the DirectPro uses a "virtual IRQ," it will work with other soundcards just fine in the machine.

If you use a lot of midi and soundfonts, I would keep it there. Just don't record any audio on it. lol

Ok then, is there some program which can convert all of my SF2 ( soundfont files) into gigs, so I can use Gigasampler and throw away my Platinum?

Please inform me about this..


Is it true that GIG's do have more quality than SF2's..
