Here's the new one with a vintage Gibson L-12 (F-hole acoustic rhythm guitar from ~1950) and my vocals amplified by the high sensitivity of the Rodents and the gain of the dbx 386. My SG is in the shop with a bad neck. So I'm reduced to this or Marilyn. This guitar was sounding like a miked cabinet and it's totally acoustic. That's what started this session in the first place.
Sorry, Dobro if you consider this my usual one chord wonder but you're right and I can't argue with you on this point.
More like won't.

There is no #5

Woo-hooo! This is the noise! Damn, how come you ended it just when the band was starting to roll just after the cat impersonations? The acoustic sounds really good with the synth. You're doing double vocals again. Most people *play* with themselves, man, not sing. :D Really like it.

Yeah, I like it too. You've got this crazy thing with cats (love those little devils), and the MEOW is diggable. Very diggable. You oughtta do a song where one cat (left channel) is talking to the cat in the right channel. Maybe a "left brain cat" playing keys meets a "right brain cat" playing strings of different sorts (and if anyone has the "different sorts" thing down, it's you!)

I've really enjoyed listening to your songs, and dig the site as a whole. Thanks!

Too short...wanted more playing of that cool ass gibson...vocals worked too....gibs

Hey Doc:
Great little piece there..Except it gave me a slight migraine...But it was worth it.

Damn that was cool. I really like it when you use real instruments. I like this one best of all your stuff.

There's some distortion in the beginning though...for about the first 3 seconds.

Slackmaster 2000

Slack: It wasn't on the .wav yet re-encoding it wouldn't make it go away. I dunno.
Doug- maybe you weren't playing it loud enough?

All I could get was a couple of measures and a message that said 'net congestion'.

So Monty...exactly what did you do to piss the god of computers off this badly?

That's a good one drstawl, nice hearing some funky guitar riffs. More live stuff!

Why 2 meows?

Thanks for listening, Emeric.
I thought I'd explain the significance of the cat sounds.
The lyrics were an adlibbed thing in two takes, both of which were used, panned fairly hard. The topic was a mumbling rant from someone faced with the nearing prospect of leaving the world of indoors living for the outdoor thing not in any "recreational" sense.
The meows are the sounds of the new neighbors.
If I could guess the translation:
"Welcome to the neighborhood, chump."

Funky, I'm diggin' this Doc. That was cool as sh*t.

I must admit though, you say "sh*t", somehow in a very unique way, that if I met you on the street, never having met you in person before, if you told me I looked like sh*t... I would say, "HEY DOC! It's me! Teddie!"

The "sh*t" reminds me of the song you did about the world being full of sh*t and something about acid rain, which (I hope you don't mind) I use the chorus of that song to greet friends and relatives.

More live stuff man... this was cool.

Teddie:

The world <is> full of shit.

Maybe it's my Bronx transplanted pronunciation.

The dinosaurs left more than their bones....

And I'm really excited about your answerphone use of that track! That's a pretty heavy dose of DrStawl all at once.

"I really like it when you use real instruments"

Yeah, instead of that makebelieve thing we usually hear you on. :D

WOW, this is awesome. Sounds a little like, Dr. John and Leon Redbone f*cked up on some bad sh*t. I listened to it 4 times already, sounds great in headphones. Cool tune......A-plus.....Ray J

Uh oh, was there an "incident"? The muse has many forms :). This is my new favorite of your stuff, but I'll have to check out #5.
