ok this is gonna seem like the dumbest question of all time but..... the cat has just pulled my TLM103 shock mount apart and in trying to re-string it is absolutely doin my head in! I cannot seem to be able to get the correct sequence right as in the original suspension. every-time i mount the mic the lower cords disconnects. you would think it was simple but there is a specific order that the elastic cords are attached and i have lost the original (manual? don't think there would have been any advise there anyway) nothin on their website either. seen a few pics but very difficult to work out exact sequence by just looking at single angle shots. anyone out there with the same mount? experiences with re-stringing these pain in the asses?

muchos gracias

Looking at that picture, it's a lot like some of my spider mounts. Hook it at four equal points around the center ring, then individually pull the four resulting loops over the ends of the pins at the bottom. Repeat for the top.

Once everything is hooked, all of the cords should be reasonably snug. If not, shift the cord around so that the tension is equal all the way around the top and bottom. If it is still too loose and keeps jumping off, it is possible that the bands have simply gotten too stretched over the years and need to be replaced.

I let some of my spare bands as cat toys (they're huge fun for him.
So next thing I see him up on the desk checking out the shock mount... ;)
