tips on this mix,instrumental rock

I need some advise on the mixing of this song. I've worked so much with this song over the last 2 weeks that I'm sick of the song. This is the first time that I've actually tried to mix a song. I just want to learn so any help would be greatly appreciated.

 
Sounds like something i've heard before can't put a finger on it. But it does sound good for some reason the guitars sound flat or dull or muddy take a pick. I really don't know how to fix that though.
 
I'm listening to this on shitty speaker right now so it's entierly possible I'm wrong.

It needs more bass, sounds thin to me.

I love the drums. they remind me of Brain's drums from Buckethead's Colma album.

I agree with BigWillz24 though. The guitars do sound a bit flat. Could be the distortion your using, theres a lot of it in there. I think a wetter lead sound would be cool.
 
It's probably thin because I went direct through a digitech processor, Thanks for the input guys I'll have to keep this stuff in mind for future projects.
