Time Stretch hiccup in CakeWalk pa8

I spend a lot of time slowing down guitar solos. Sometimes when I apply a time stretch to a segment, the segment will double in length (as it should) and half of the segment will be highlighted. But on playback there's a hiccup (a microsecond is repeated) right in the middle. I'm not running any other programs, and I have only two other tracks which are archived to reduce overhead.
Has anyone else run into this?

Zimm - I assume you are doing this to learn the solo. Time stretch is always a bit wonky as it takes some pretty heavy calculations. Why not try using Prosoniq Time Factory to do it. It is not a pluggin but will do it perfectly without glitches.

stretch stretch again

Even though I'm an ardent Cakewalk fan, time stretching as well as pitch control has been a major failure for cakewalk.

It has never done the right job for me.

So, until they improve this feature (and I hope is soon) I've opted for sound forge which has done a wonderful job for me.

It communicates with Cakewalk perfectly an you can use the best of both worlds.

I think if you -use time stretch often you should consider investing in time forge.

I think it will be worth it.

stretch and pitch !!
