Time signatures of the Reaper metronome

I just got Reaper and would like to know what people think of how its metronome holds up. I read that the metronome clicks at a different time signature than the one you put in.

I always prefer to build my own metronome using a midi track of looped midi quarter notes and a low-cpu soundfont.

The nice thing about building your own is that you can customize it to whatever sounds/volumes YOU want and
you can also turn it into a zero-cpu-using audio track. It really only takes a couple of minutes to make one.

I usually do this too; set up a drum loop for a metronome.

But either way, I have had no problems with Reaper's time-keeping skills.

I used to have problems with every metronome's time keeping skills. But the more I practiced, the better the machines got.
