Time ruler freezes at 12000 samples or 7 sec

when i press play or record my time ruler stops moving after 7 secs or 12000 samples everytime.

i can record audio and it will show up after pressing stop(spacebar) but i cant record midi, it just records for the 12000 samples or 7 secs the time ruler moves before it stops.

even though the time ruler stops or freezes i can still hear playback..

PLEASE HELP!!!

It's actually the Time Marker (the bar that moves from left to right across the screen during playback or record)

Anyways it this a processor problem or something i don't have any plugins running

Has anyone even heard of this happening? please reply!!!
