I am brand new to this, but I can't figure out how to notate the combination of a stick hitting an open high hat and then closing. Is there some way to tie the notes together? I've tried shortening the open high hat note, and scaling its end velocity to 0, but it still hangs over the next closed high hat note.

???
Thanks for any help, I'm sure this is probably easy.

Hi rjgmg,

Actually, Cakewalk only provides basic notation capabilities. It doesn't let you control the placement of ties. If you need more advanced notation, you might want to check out the programs available from Coda Music (www.codamusic.com).

Best,
Scott
