Bring Back Transfat!
My recording machine runs a coppermine 700 on a spacewalker mobo. My game rig still has a Pll 333 over-reved to 417 on an Abit board with soft menu.
I bought a 1GHz T-bird and an Abit KT7E with VIA133E today. Is this an acceptable combo for the music machine, or should I put it in the gamer?
Either way I'll be glad to retire the "Fastest processor on the Planet!" four years ago! :D

Your t-bird rig is very acceptable for an audio based machine.
I have a 1 gig t-bird running on a Via KT133 mobo and have absolutely no problems running my Echo Darla 24/96 with CEP, Acid, T-racks. There are (mostly were) issues with some audio cards, and software with a t-bird.

I would do a little research and see if there are any known issues with the t-bird and any hard/software that your running first...

Thanks B.W., I'm running a Darla 24 myself, probably with Ntracks, but that could change. I remembered Ola mentioning issues with the Athalon, but couldn't recall if they were real or personal. He's an Intel sort of guy, not that I blame him. Athalon and mobo were two bills. What can I say?
Thanks again.
