i was not sure where to put this, but i think it suits the mixing section quite well. i know basically every software compressor, but this fresh piece is really one of the best:

there are plenty emulations of the la2a out there...so, to be honest, i don't care if its modelled with respect to the hardware unit. it sounds good - thats all what matters.

I just tested this. I was thinking it would be another cheap knockoff, but, I think I've found a great drum buss compressor. I haven't tested this extensively, but it sounds great from what I've heard so far. Doesn't take up much of my crappy CPU and is some pretty good eye candy as well
