Jeff,
heres some more info.....
"Can you tell me why you used the pod, instead of micing an amp?"
I was happy with the sound i was getting from the pod on this tune, the
added bonus was i could lay down these tracks at any time without the noise. With the right amp the sound
Could be better, if there was a better guitar player playing it that would help to
" Also, the pod is a preamp, and you sent it the RNP, another preamp. Did you simply turn the volume of the pod way down, and them amp it again with the RNP? Is there a setting on the Pod that makes it send a mic/guitar level signal, instead of a line level?"
The main reason the pod is run thru
the RNP is because i have an RNC
hooked into the RNP inserts. This allows me to compress before the signal hits the A/D converters.
The pod is not turned all the way down , but its low, i use the RNP for whatever gain i need. I never have
recorded without the RNP so i honestly
couldnt tell you the difference sonically
there is a switch on the pod for either
going to an amp , or a recorder .
