Whats your setups and that Rack Gear do you use.. what do you finds good on which programs and which you prefer using a external rack program instead of a plugin..

Just interested in your different choices.

theres something about an external compressor that i like more than the software version...part of it is that i can compress it the way i like and then send it in. another part is that i can use it to reduce a bit of the room noise or what seems like a wild distortion to me

I use Guitar Tracks Pro 3 for recording software with external compressor, preamp, eq (all cheapies). I works for me.
