I don't know if this has any truth to it but I was told that you could make a small closet into a vocal booth.Is it possible?What are some other ways to improve vocal recording without having alot of money,the only thing that I think I could afford is studio foam pads.

(I don't know if this has any effect on the subject but I'm doing rap music,with preproduced beats so I just need a way of doing good quality vocals.)

Yeah - you can. Use the foam pads to deaden it down, stay close to the mike and EQ out the low end to take out the extra boominess you will get.
