This may be a dumb question...

But,
I attempted to import audio from a cd in cool edit, and cool edit does not even recognize the wav files on the cd. I recently installed an audigy, and during the install I noticed a cable from the cd burner going to the onboard sound component. I left it there. The instructions led me to believe that I did not need to move it to the new card so I left it alone. It had to do with cdd or something like that. Could the cable be the cause of this?

Thanks!

Grab up on dBpowerAMP and convert the cda files to wave ... then import the wave files.
Not sure exactly what that cable is, it's most likely the audio output of the CD drive. This cable should be connected to whatever soundcard you wish to have the CD audio playback through.
