.so i understand if you dont want to listen.......so im working on my newest "dance hit"...and i need advice on the concept of this thing...recorded it in like 20 minutes so i know it sounds like crap......just wanted to know if the concept was even woth pursuing..picture a answering machine goin off....first line of the song on the machine...then the rest come in in stereo.......does it suck.....brilliant ..overdone..?

Lessee... G, D, Em7, C? Yea that works good... would it be possible to venture into a progression (just for a bit) that uses the II (A/A+2 -- what is that A chord with the open B on the 2nd string? A+2?? Anyone???) or something for some variety?

Good concept on the lyrics


EDIT: How 'bout A+2, (slide up 2 frets w/open strings to the B), then Cmaj7?

Actually, just a bit of variety in the changes would help any weakness in the song.... the lyrics are expressive and impressive.

Sounds like a great start to me. I really like the song so far, hard to get a feel for the overall emotion with just guitar and vocals (I hpe I listened to the right song), but keep going! :D

All I'm gettin' is a tinny elecrtic git panned all the way to the left.... oh wait.. there's a quiet little solo git playing during the last ten seconds... almost missed that one...

seriously.. I coulda turned off my right monitor and the song woulda sounded the same... :p maybe you outta,.. I dunno... fill some of that space a wee bit... just a thought. :p

it sounds like a demo but it sounds like a demo for a really good song and good performer.

i heard some great harmony singing and a good melody. i could see a number of good bands doing a song like this.

i think your vocal is very strong.

the little mandolin part would of course have to be extended and featured as a recurring solo on the major release...

it is very left heavy though. i listened with only the right can for a moment, and all i could hear were vox ..mainly. this tune imho, is well worth some extra effort!!!!!!!! i really like your vocal delivery man.very nice!!

It a good tune for sure.

I don't think that guitar sound works though. It's very bass heavy and blurry. And there is a lot in the left channel, thanks for clarifying that Fender, my hearing is a bit messed, so I'm paranoid.

I think if you improved the main rhythm guitar sound, it would be much easier to mix the rest of this. Great vocals.

Needs drums and bass to. Are you planning to do that?

PS: This song is cool... my comments are out of line :D (a lame attempt to change your chord progression...) now, record it, lie to us... and tell us this is chris' song so we can tell you how wonderful it really is ;)

Nice song. I like your vocals and harmony a lot, and the song itself is very well written.

For the recording, it sounded like there was some phasing going on with the guitars (maybe it was just my machine ... I dunno ...)

This sounds like a good start. It would be cool to hear where you can take it arrangement wise. Maybe Chris can play a kazoo or juice-harp -- lol --

Nice job overall!

I cant comment on the mix because I am listening at low levels, but I can comment on the song: I like it. I really like it.
