you leave a boy with fruityloops, mic modeller, plugin reverbs and he plugs in a shure sm58 into a souncard and voila he's competing with ja rule. I wonder where well be in ten years with falling prices and all. A man will be able to pop out a hit with $50 worth of gear.

Questions and comments please

You been a bad boy and posted a naughty link that gave me this insulting message:

"HTTP Error 403 - Forbidden
Internet Explorer"

I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing. I mean, it's a good thing since I for one, don't own tens of thousands of $'s to set up a hardware studio. I manage well with software.

On the other hand, it raises more and more competition so pretty soon we're having so many options that our heads will explode as if they didn't already...:D

I realized too late that nothing is working on nowhereradio.com .

Is there another site that I can post on?

thanks for the support guys,

THe mp3 is at this site now.

http://artistlaunch.com/artist.asp?artistid=2432

There was not an option to link direct.

the mp3 is "highly intoxicated"
its also highly intoxicated

Questions and comments please

I hope we all continue to support the realwaldo as he tries to iron out the problems over at nowhereradio.com

The digital revolution has affected photography as much as anything! Technology which was "pie in the sky" ten years ago, is now available to the consumer for low $$ - "...so", you may well say, "...is this great for photography or what?" Well, unfortunately all it means is that it is now much easier for people to generate the same god-awful-crap photographs that they've been producing for the past sixty years, except now there are even more of them... ...and exactly the same can be said about home audio recording - the technology is cool, is getting better, and is fun - but we're now being swamped by lots of garbage, beautifully recorded garbage, but garbage nevertheless...

Well, it is Monday morning... you have any better ideas? ;>

PS: CJ - I haven't had a chance to check-out your MP3 - my comments were general, not particular - no offense intended! :>

-Not my genre-
but...

I thought it sounded good (production wise), even through the crappy PC speakers. The (sex sounds?) were a little too upfront. Like most other songs I hear in this genre, I keep waiting for a chord change, or a breakdown, or a bridge, or something. Maybe it is supposed to be this way? The vocals changed up a bit, but that damn riff got a little old. And the ending was a bit abrupt.

I gave a few extra db's in the low end on Winamp (60hz) and it thumped just right for me.....damn good production.......

I agree with que on the ending and agree that a different riff thrown in to break it up a bit would work great.....

other than that, I have no complaints.....excellent.....definitely Dirty South style......want me to pass it on to MasterP?.....

thanks for listening gidge and queue,

Queue,

Such is the nature of hip-hop. I truly believe that the cat who can bring in breaks and changes to hip-hop will not only be a pioneer and be credited for taking hip-hop to a new degree, but he'll also make a bundle of cash.

Gidge,
thanks man. I am still amazed at the sound we got. I know that whatever the large-diaphragm condenser I get next, it will have big shoes to fill. THe modded sm58 is nice
I am so glad that I got my ns10ms back. They allow me to mix with utmost confidence, even though I still check the mix on other systems, usually to try and judge the bass. I will give the low eq a boost and see if I can get that thud. I was thinking of how I would get it. THanks

Then ending has been fixed.

Hey dobro,
I hope that you try and listen again. As I said, the computer cats are growing wings.

artist lauch told me I needed music match to play this.

I'd rather drink hemlock than install that garbage on my machine.

Doc,
Is Winamp more suitable? (That's what worked for me...)

NoWhere's upload mechanism should be fixed now.

The new streaming mechanism will support whatever you have associated to .pls files (most common is winamp).

You will have to re-upload files uploaded within the last couple of days (as they didn't actually get saved onto the server).

However CyanJaguar, please do not directly link to the file, as I had stated before this is bandwidth theft!

sorry I missed the meeting

Hey Waldo, If you are still on, I wanted to say I am sorry for missing the Live Chat thing, I was working all day, and didn't get home till after 2 am, so missed everything, so the offer still stands for the shirt deal, just let me know whats up....

Waldo: Upload may have been repaired. Download remains kaput.

Queue: How do I invoke Winamp? Aside: some of these sites ask for QuickTime which I've deleted- it won't work. Some of them ask for MusicMatch (another deleted title) and some of them actually respect my default player choice- Winamp. (I've got the latest and greatest in that department loaded and happening) What do I click on within that ArtistLaunch page to steer this toward my default choice of playback software? Walk me through it: please!

Download is working 100% on songs uploaded prior to the changes.

Uploads were not placing the file on the server, therefor, everything in the past couple days needs to be re-uploaded!

For example, download:

Your "free" Beta Team Reports

The link in the post downloaded no problemo, but going to your home page:

http://www.nowhereradio.com

and selecting the download of a file from one of the artists of the day referenced by an mp3 clinic post gave me a fatal error.

I'm not dissing your deal- just helping you troubleshoot it. :)

Doc,
Fire up Winamp. (I'm using 2.72, but should be very similar for any 2.xx version)
Hit Ctrl-P.
Click on File Types
Highlight m3u (and whatever else you might like to associate, for instance, pls for Nowhere Radio)
Check register types on Winamp Start
Click Close

That should do it.

guys,

thanks for wanting to listen to the stuff. I ask you to bear with me as I upload the file again. By the time you read this, it should be fully uploaded.

Waldo, I never even heard about that. I will not link direct again. You have my support for nowhereradio and I hope that everything starts working perfect again like it used to.

the new file is here:

www.nowhereradio.com/artists/rockpop/jaguarslogic

the song is "highly intoxicated"

It can also be streamed here

whats more interesting is that apart from the fact that these guys used software and plugins and an sm58, they only paid the engineer(me :D) $20. Needless to say, they are coming back tomorrow and will probably cut a whole album. This internet generation is growing wings.

Dobro and drstawl, please another try. Thankyou

Finally got it. Boy did I get it!

I think you did a great job on the recording. Especially where the two vocals went together, both loud and in your face but still clean.

I'm sorry- I have to say the music itself had about 1 measure of smooth beats and everything else was a rehash.

Queue: I'm using version 3 beta 1 love build 448. None of that ctrl-P action does anything.
