I'll happily play on tracks like these anytime.
OK, you guys are my witnesses. I'm saving this post to my hard drive for future use. :D

Only kidding, Steve. However, I would be honored to do another with you sometime, and thanks again for this one.

Daf - thanks for stopping by. You could be right about the horns. The parts are doubled on each horn. I might look into your suggestion (although it kills me to think about dropping any of the parts Steve or Chuck did). And I agree with you, the drawn out chords are quite nice.

BTW, I hope you are not letting the wife hear this or you could be looking at some 3AM feedings again. :)

Nice! I think this is a great mix, with lots of nice space. Great separation. Smooth performances too! Great job. Handled the horns very nicely. And they were exceptionally nice horns to handle. (Did I really just say that...)

We still have 'em - but they're grandkids now. Only a TRUE medical miracle would provide us with more of our own...

Finally I get to hear this!:D
Sounds great Mike!

The vocals were really fine, super BG's!
Your lead is just great man.
I can't believe you hit that high note on "people" at 3:01,that was cool!:D

You really got that Motown sound down, good seperation and harmonies.
I think the only thing missing was the orchestrated rythym guitars.
Always a Motown specialty.

The sax is great,as always!;)

Fine collab guys,
Pete

Sluice - somehow I feel like I need to go wash my hands after reading your post. Keep your horn handling to yourself. :D

Seriously, thanks for checking it out and for the positive feedback.

Daf - it's still fun trying though, isn't it?

Pete - hey, you finally made it! BTW, thanks for trying to help us out on this one. I appreciate the thought. BTW2, that isn't me singing the lead vox - if I had tried hit that note on peeeee-ople, your tweeters would have been DOA. :)

Good call on the rhythym guitar. There is one in the original version of the song, but I only own a DI acoustic and I couldn't seem to get the right sound out of it for this song. In fact, I ended up adding the piano to replace some of the missing guitar in the choruses. The piano wasn't in the original version.
